Fr. John Zuhlsdorf, more commonly known as Fr. Z, is a Roman Catholic priest, authot, and prolific Internet blogger. One of Fr. Z's ongoing projects, from which his blog takes its name, is "What Does the Prayer Really Say?", an analysis of some of the propers from the Mass of the week, comparing various translation with critical comparisons and analysis. Often he will also add historical comments that are very informative. Even though the new English translations are now in use, Father continues to compare them to the old, so that new readers may see why the revised translations were so desperately needed.
